French designer born in 1944, he was one of the leading specialists of the history of decorative arts and he was among the first to discover the creators of the Union des Artistes Modernes (U.A.M.).

His MPC lamp (Thank You Pierre CHAREAU) produced in 1979 was an enormous commercial success.

He invented furniture, lamps, carpets (for Géométrie Variable) as well as jewellery combining gold with precious and semi-precious stones (for GAY Frères) in 1980.

In 1985 he created furniture for Pentalux, which included the chromium-plated steel Balla table in memory of Giacomo BALLA (1871-1958), who was the leading light of the Italian futurist movement, and the Agathe table in black lacquered aluminium.
